The Mixpac PAM system range

The MIXPAC PAM (Point of Application Metering) system units bridge the gap between cartridge system and continual measurement, in two-component adhesive dispensing.

With the PAM system, twin reciprocating metering pumps are powered by a pneumatic drive unit providing a fixed, volumetric output ratio of the two reactive components.
Adequate power is available to meter and dispense even high viscosity liquids through a static mixer for conventional production applications.

Bead or shot volume may be controlled either by the operator (mode 1) or larger, repeatable shots may be factory preset (mode 2).

Standard volumetric output ratios are 1:1, 1.5:1, 2:1, 4:1
and 10:1

The PAM system has patents granted and pending worldwide

1) The MIXPAC PAM System - Stand Mounted

The stand-mounted units (DXS-3 and DXS-4) are designed to provide optimum metering accuracy by metering both components directly into a static mixer. The advantages of this are:

  • The elimination of hoses, valving and backpressures
  • The avoidance of 'out of phase' component patches
  • The elimination of 'run on' after completion of the metering cycle
  • The system is highly economic
  • The units are extremely low maintenance

2) The MIXPAC PAM System - Robot Mounted

Similarly, the Models DXR-3 and DXR-4 use the same
principle, but in a robot-0mounted unit. This allows robot, XYZ
and other automatic production equipment to apply beads or shots.

3) The MIXPAC PAM System Series DXH

The Mixpac PAM (Point of Application Metering) hand-held dispensers combine the advantages of compact design, low weight and complete mobility.

Pneumatically-driven metering pumps draw either flowable components from containers by gravity alone, or via pressure assistance. The units dispense a fixed ratio of the components through a static mixer in bead or shot format (the mode is selected via a switch).

The containers are easily refilled with flowable components by pouring, or may be recharged with non-flowable or thixotropic components from bulk containers via low pressure transfer pumps.

4) The MIXPAC PAM System Backpack Unit Series DXB

The combination of a DXH unit with backpack-mounted containers
results in a remarkably compact portable dispensing system. This makes
the unit ideal for site work applications such as concrete repair
and fire retardant foam dispensing.

The recommended capacity for these two component systems is 24 litres.
Because the system uses transfer hoses, this limits component
viscosities to flowable and self-levelling liquids.
